Star-Studded 2025 Met Gala to Celebrate Tailoring Black Style
New York, NY – The highly anticipated 2025 Met Gala is set to take place on Monday, with celebrity arrivals scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET on the iconic steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This year’s theme, "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," pays homage to the artistry and cultural significance of Black fashion as inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book, "Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity." The exhibition will be on public view from May 10 to October 26, 2025.
Co-chairs for the evening include a diverse lineup of celebrities: actor Colman Domingo, race car driver Lewis Hamilton, rapper A$AP Rocky, singer Pharrell Williams, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. NBA star LeBron James has been named an honorary chair, but will not be in attendance due to a recent injury.
