Los Angeles Man Sentenced for Fatal Crash that Claimed Lives of Sisters and Friend
Los Angeles—Gregory Black, 34, was sentenced to 26 years in state prison on May 5 for the tragic high-speed crash that killed Orange County sisters Kimberly Izquierdo, 27, and Veronica Amezola, 23, along with their childhood friend Juvelyn Arroyo, 23. Black accepted a plea deal, receiving 18 years for probation violation and an additional eight years for three felony counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence.
The collision occurred on August 26, 2023, when Black, already on probation for an attempted murder case, sped through a red light, crashing into an Uber rideshare.
