WASHINGTON, DC, June 26, 2025 — The National 4-H Council Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Lavin, founder and managing partner of Germin8 Ventures, to its distinguished Board. Lavin is a leading authority in harnessing science and technology to innovate the agricultural supply chain and enhance global food systems.

As the head of Germin8 Ventures, a venture capital firm dedicated to supporting pioneering technologies in agriculture, biotechnology, and AI, Lavin aims to bolster resilience and reshape supply chains. He also holds the position of Vice Chairman at OSI Group, a global supplier of value-added food products.
