MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Lynx bounced back impressively from their first loss of the season, defeating the Los Angeles Sparks 101-78 on Saturday. Napheesa Collier showcased an outstanding performance, scoring 26 of her 32 points in the first half, leading her team to a commanding victory.
Courtney Williams contributed significantly with 17 points, while reserves Natisha Hiedeman and Maria Kliundikova added 14 and 11 points, respectively. The Lynx improved their record to 10-1 after their recent setback against the Seattle Storm.
Collier’s dominating display marked her third game scoring over 30 points this season. She started strong with a remarkable shooting night, going 13-for-16 from the field, including 3-for-4 beyond the arc. By the end of the first quarter, Collier had outscored the entire Sparks team, leading 34-15 with a seven-for-nine shooting streak, while Los Angeles managed only four-for-seven.

For the Sparks, Kelsey Plum led the score with 20 points, followed by Rickea Jackson’s 18 and Emma Cannon’s 14 points. Despite Dearica Hamby’s strong presence with 10 points and 12 rebounds, the Sparks fell to a 4-8 record.
