Angels Snap Losing Streak with Victory Over Tigers
The Los Angeles Angels ended their seven-game losing streak with a decisive 5-2 win against the Detroit Tigers on Saturday night, thanks to a stellar performance from pitcher Kyle Hendricks. In his first win since joining the Angels, the 35-year-old veteran pitched into the eighth inning, allowing just one run on four hits while striking out key batters. Hendricks, who previously spent over a decade with the Chicago Cubs, improved his record to 1-3 after entering the game with a 6.65 ERA.
The Angels broke the game open in the sixth inning, scoring four runs to take a commanding 5-0 lead. Luis Rengifo and Kyren Paris each came through with two-run singles, showcasing their clutch hitting with runners in scoring position.
