Dodgers Dominate Pirates as Tyler Glasnow Leaves Game Early Again – Daily News

Headline: Tyler Glasnow Exits Early as Dodgers Dominate Pirates, 9-2

LOS ANGELES — Tyler Glasnow’s recurring injury woes continued on Sunday as he exited the game against the Pittsburgh Pirates due to shoulder discomfort. The Dodgers were already contending with absent stars Blake Snell and awaiting returns of Tony Gonsolin, Clayton Kershaw, and Shohei Ohtani. Glasnow, who had only recently returned from a leg cramp setback, demonstrated initial promise but walked the first batter and allowed two home runs before the injury halted his outing.

Before the game, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts mentioned that Glasnow underwent intravenous treatment to stave off dehydration. However, during his warm-up for the second inning, Glasnow exhibited signs of discomfort, leading to his quick removal. The Dodgers quickly adjusted, with Ben Casparius stepping in admirably and retiring 11 of 13 batters faced.

Despite falling behind 2-0, the Dodgers responded robustly. Freddie Freeman and Andy Pages fueled a comeback with key hits, and Teoscar Hernandez celebrated his 200th career homer. The pitching staff combined for eight scoreless innings following Glasnow’s exit, securing a commanding victory over the Pirates.
