ST. LOUIS – Western Michigan’s men’s college hockey team secured their first Frozen Four title with a 6-2 victory over Boston University in the championship game. Owen Michaels, who was named the Frozen Four’s outstanding player, scored twice in the game and played a pivotal role in leading his team to victory. Western Michigan’s victory marked the program’s first championship in its 52-year history, firmly establishing the team as a force in college hockey.
