Justin Rothberg Claims Victory in GT America Race Despite Caution Period – Daily News


Long Beach – Justin Rothberg emerged victorious in Saturday’s SRO GT America race at the Grand Prix of Long Beach after the leader’s car stalled, allowing Rothberg to claim the lead under caution. Driving a BMW M4 GT3 EVO for Turner Motorsports, Rothberg expressed his preference for finishing races under green but was thrilled with the win nevertheless.

In the Historic Formula Exhibition race, Jordan Roddy from Canada took first place with a 2005 Lola, competing against cars from the Formula 5000, Formula 1, and IndyCar eras. The second race in this category is scheduled for today at 10:45 am.

Max Gordon clinched victory in the Stadium Super Trucks race, edging out Myles Creek and his father, Robby Gordon. The Super Drift Challenge was also held, with Rome Charpentier securing the win in a BMW 1 Series. The second round of the Super Drift Challenge was set to take place on Saturday night.

The action-packed Grand Prix of Long Beach continues today, with the second GT America race starting at 11:20 am and the Stadium Super Trucks race at 4:30 pm. Don’t miss the thrilling conclusion of this exciting event.
