Clippers maintain winning streak with victory over Kings, move closer to securing top-6 seed – Daily News

The Los Angeles Clippers managed to secure their seventh consecutive win with a slim victory over the Sacramento Kings. Led by James Harden’s triple-double performance, the Clippers held off a late surge from the Kings to win 101-100. The win keeps the Clippers tied with the Denver Nuggets for the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference, with one regular-season game remaining. The top three seeds are already secured by Oklahoma City, Houston, and the Lakers. The Clippers were able to withstand the Kings’ last-minute rally, with Harden’s critical offensive rebounds eating up valuable time. Kawhi Leonard also had a strong performance with 28 points. The Kings were led by Zach Lavine’s 26 points. Interim coach Doug Christie was visibly frustrated with some officiating calls during the game. Next, the Clippers will face the Golden State Warriors on Sunday as they look to secure their playoff positioning in the competitive Western Conference.
