California Science Center Reveals Three Unique Murals Made for the Upcoming ‘GAME ON! Science, Sport & Play’ Exhibition

The California Science Center is set to debut three impactful murals by Los Angeles-based artists Moses X. Ball, Laci Jordan, and Gustavo Zermeño Jr. on May 15, 2025. These murals were commissioned to complement the upcoming exhibition, GAME ON! Science, Sports & Play, which celebrates the connection between science, sports, and play. The exhibition, developed in collaboration with the Walter Family Foundation, Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, and LA84 Foundation, will feature hands-on activities and guidance from well-loved Los Angeles-based mentor athletes.

Moses X. Ball’s mural, “Motivation in Motion,” highlights community heroes and everyday people, using vibrant colors to showcase the power of sports in personal growth. Laci Jordan’s mural, “For the Love of the Game,” expresses her commitment to authentic portrayals of contemporary culture and the role of sports in inspiring strong communities. Gustavo Zermeño Jr.’s mural, “It’s Time for Dodger Baseball,” celebrates the passion and unity that sports bring to the city.

The exhibition will offer a range of activities including baseball, basketball, yoga, and more, highlighting the mind-body connection, nutrition, and the joy of movement. Jeffrey Rudolph, President and CEO of the California Science Center, expressed excitement about the collaboration between art and science in creating a fun and memorable experience for visitors of all ages.

The free-admission exhibition will open on May 15, 2025, and will run through the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Guests can expect to be inspired by the intersection of science, sports, and community through these unique murals and interactive experiences.
