Aimbridge Hospitality has announced the appointment of Michael Murray as the vice president of operations for Evolution Hospitality, its lifestyle division. Murray, who has been with Aimbridge since 2016, previously served as a general manager at Hotel Paseo in Palm Desert, California. In his new role, Murray will focus on developing leaders, improving operational performance, and enhancing Aimbridge’s reputation. Throughout his career, Murray has been recognized for his achievements, including receiving accolades such as General Manager of the Year and Hotel of the Year.
Gary Thomas, Evolution’s senior vice president of operations, expressed confidence in Murray’s ability to excel in his new role, stating that he will bring passion, energy, and dedication to the position. Aimbridge acquired Evolution Hospitality in 2015, and the company has since been working to strengthen its operations and drive excellence across the organization.
This announcement comes after Aimbridge Hospitality underwent a restructuring last February to optimize its U.S. operations. The firm made key appointments to its executive team, including a new CEO, CFO, and chief global growth officer. With Murray’s appointment, Aimbridge aims to continue its growth and success in the hospitality industry.
