Long Beach’s annual pre-Grand Prix party, Thunder Thursday, is set to return to the Pike Outlets on Thursday, April 10. The free event, organized by Visit Long Beach, will kick off the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. Attendees can expect classic and race car displays, live music, meet-and-greets with pro drivers, an NTT IndyCar Series pit stop competition, FreestyleMX freestyle motocross demonstrations, and an all-female motorcycle show. The event will also feature a classic car show, interactive photo booths, autograph signings, a beer garden, and multiple food vendors.
Pike Outlets representative Morgan Blank expressed excitement for the event, promising a night of action and fun. Visit Long Beach’s president and CEO, Steve Goodling, emphasized the event’s importance in bringing the community together to kick off the Grand Prix celebrations. The event will take place from 6 to 10:30 p.m. at the Pike Outlets in downtown Long Beach and is free to attend.
