In a terrifying incident reminiscent of a horror movie, a babysitter in Kansas discovered a man hiding under a child’s bed after trying to reassure the child that there were no monsters present. The babysitter and the man got into a physical altercation, resulting in one child being knocked over before the man fled the scene. Authorities were dispatched to the home on a disturbance call and identified the suspect as Martin Villalobos Jr., who was found to have violated a protection from abuse order by being on the property. Deputies searched for Villalobos but were unsuccessful, until he was spotted the next morning by law enforcement and captured after a brief pursuit. Villalobos was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary, aggravated battery, child endangerment, felony obstruction of a law enforcement officer, and violation of a protection from abuse order. He is currently being held on a $500,000 bond. It is unclear if he has obtained legal representation at this time.
