The Oregon State-California football game records its lowest TV viewership of the season

Oregon State suffered a tough loss to California last Saturday, falling 44-7 in Berkeley. However, the silver lining is that not many people watched the game, with only an average of 183,000 viewers tuning in on ESPN2. This marks a season low in viewership for the Beavers, with their previous low coming against Idaho State with 381,000 viewers.

Interestingly, the game against California is the only one this season shown on one of the ESPN networks. Oregon State has seen more success with viewership for their home games on the CW Network, with their most recent game against UNLV drawing in 507,000 viewers and their game against Colorado State hitting a season high of 568,000 viewers in October.

The viewership numbers for Oregon State games this season are as follows: 2.82 million for Oregon (Fox), 568,000 for Colorado State (CW), 507,000 for UNLV (CW), 452,000 for Purdue (CW), and 381,000 for Idaho State (CW). Games against San Diego State and Nevada on CBS Sports Network were unrated by Nielsen, as they do not measure viewership for games on that network.
